Diverted to the 4 Seasons for an urgent shite. Played a damp 6 holes starting at 08:00. 4, 3, 6, 5, 6, 4 = 28. Took a shower and changed all my clothes except my socks which were still dry. Took a siesta 13:00 —> 14:00. Rang Óg a.m. Cooked €5 worth of haddock, 2 large fillets cut into a total of 4 pieces, on the Tefal pan. Boiled peeled Rooster sections together with unpeeled baby potatoes in the one pot. Heated baked beans in tomato sauce. Halved a lemon. Used salt and malt vinegar as well on the food. Rosanna golfed with the sisterhood after lunch. The day cleared. Brought in washing from the back of the garden, blocks from beside the small shed at the gable, coal from the bunker next Majella’s ditch. Lit the fire in The White Elephant Lounge. Siesta 17:00 —> 19:00. Washed up thoroughly. Typed yesterday’s journal into Word on the Acer P3. Rang Gerardine yesterday. Nice fire on from afternoon until bed-time. Wore my Susan O’Connor dentures all my waking hours today. No problem. Learned how to chew with them. Use the “teeth” further back. Pádraig Rice did a good job on the middle ventilator in my bedroom window. It opens easily now. Sent a text to Lisa about my proposed visit on Friday. Kevin McGeough cried off by text tomorrow’s meeting in Glenda’s.
